What's covered

  • Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, operated per the manual.
  • The tool itself — motor, gear head, switch, bearings, housing.
  • Six months from the date of original purchase, with a receipt from Scorpion or an authorized retailer.
  • Repair or replacement at our option, at no charge for parts or labor — and return shipping is on us.

What's not

  • Operator-caused electrical overload — running the tool on undersized or damaged extension cords, underpowered generators or inverters, the wrong supply voltage, or repeatedly stalling and forcing it beyond its rated load.
  • Wear items — carbon brushes, discs, pads and diamond tooling.
  • Damage from misuse, abuse, drops, water or liquid ingress, or continued use after a fault appears.
  • Tools that have been modified, opened or repaired outside Scorpion.
  • Units bought from unauthorized sellers, or with the serial plate removed or defaced.
  • Cosmetic wear that doesn't affect performance.

Protect your tool

It can pull a full 15 amps. Feed it right.

Most "dead" motors didn't fail — they were starved. Low voltage makes the motor draw harder, run hotter and burn its windings. That's the overload this warranty can't cover, and it's easy to avoid:

  1. 01Run it on a dedicated 15A circuit — never a power strip or a daisy-chain.
  2. 02Extension cords: 12 AWG up to 50 ft, 10 AWG from 50–100 ft. In doubt? Go heavier.
  3. 03On generator power, use at least 3,000 running watts — not peak/surge. Bigger is safer.
  4. 04Let it hit full speed before it touches the slab. If it bogs down, ease up — let the diamonds work.
  5. 05Keep the motor vents clear of dust cake so it can breathe.

This limited warranty covers Scorpion grinders purchased new from Scorpion Power Tool or an authorized retailer in the United States, and applies to the original purchaser only. It is not transferable, and it is valid and serviceable only in the United States. Repair or replacement, at Scorpion Power Tool's option, is your exclusive remedy; repaired or replacement units are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. Whether a failure is covered — including whether damage results from operator-caused electrical overload — is determined by Scorpion upon inspection of the returned unit. To the extent permitted by law, any implied warranties — including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose — are limited to the six-month duration of this warranty, and Scorpion Power Tool is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including lost time, lost profits or job costs. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
