Variable Speed range is no-load speed. The nuts supplied mount diamond cup wheels or ZEC wheels. US SAWS lists 150–200 sq ft/hr output for the standard package. Specs per US SAWS; confirm current details on the product pages before ordering.
03 — The trade nobody mentions
The fixed model is the faster one.
Variable Speed tops out at 6,200 RPM. Full Speed holds a fixed 6,500. So the dial doesn't buy you more speed — it buys you less, on demand.
- IF YOU ONLY REMOVE Full Speed gives you the higher ceiling and never needs setting. Nothing to knock out of adjustment on the slab.
- IF YOU ALSO FINISH Variable Speed trades that top-end for a floor of 2,700 RPM — the range that makes polishing and finish work possible on the same machine.
- THE REAL QUESTION Not "which is more powerful" — they pull the same 15 amps. It's whether you need to slow down.
04 — Identical on both

Both carry the convertible shroud with a vacuum port, capturing concrete dust at the source. Both want a minimum of 175 CFM behind them — pair either with a HEPA extractor sized to the job.
